SatCoNet signed up with Tanzania Health Promotion Support (THPS), its first NGO customer, to provide low-cost Internet connectivity solutions to their HQ in Dar es Salaam and five Regional Remote Sites.
SatCoNet bags its first contract for complete Infrastructure Managed Services for entire operations of Lake Cement Limited in Tanzania including their Head Office and factory located in Kimbiji.
J. H. Minet & Co. (Tanzania) Limited (Formerly AON Tanzania) contracted SatCoNet to provide hosting services of their Disaster Recovery sites and provide Internet connectivity for their Head Office and regional offices across Tanzania.
Ministry of Finance, Accountant General’s Department awarded tender for Preventive Maintenance of all microwave and network equipment across all Ministries, Departments & Agencies (MDAs).
Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) awarded a contract for provisioning of 30-Mbps full duplex dedicated Internet connectivity.
2019
The Government Telecom Operator signs up SatCoNet VSAT solution to Backhaul Voice & Data Traffic.
SatCoNet changed its VSAT Satellite platform to HUGHES Jupiter platform with Intelsat IS33e High Throughput Satellite (HTS) on KU-Band.
2015
GEPF Retirement Benefits Fund awarded tender for supplying, configuring, and commissioning of Hybrid Wide Area Network (WAN) for their offices with fibre links to their Head Office in Dar es Salaam.
2013
Awarded the tender from Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Wide Area Network (WAN) at 15 remote border posts and provisioning of Backup Internet Link at TRA Headquarters in Dar es Salaam.​

Upgrade of our Satellite VSAT platform gateway to GILAT SkyEdge II.
2011
Signed up the Government Telecom Operator to support connectivity in under-served/off-grid parts of Tanzania.
2009
Awarded contract from Ministry of Finance, Accountant General's Department for implementation of Disaster Recovery, WAN, Data Centre, 60-metre Communication Tower at the Disaster Recovery Sites.
2008
Won a contract from Zanzibar University (ZIFA) for supply, implementation, and commissioning of Local Area Network (LAN), structured cabling and microwave links, and turnkey setup of their EPABX systems.
Designed and implemented Wide Area Networking (WAN) using a hybrid of Fiber, Microwave, and VSAT connecting all Ministries, Departments & Agencies (MDAs) to centralize the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) of Ministry of Finance, Accountant General’s Department:

Second upgrade of our Satellite VSAT platform gateway to GILAT SkyEdge with enhanced DVB-S standards.

Provisioning of data services at Exim Bank Tanzania Headquarters and 28 National Park gates across the country, enabling Point of Sales (POS) services.

38 National Microfinance Bank (NMB ) sites in Tanzania were connected to their Headquarters in Dar-es-Salaam via Wireless/VSAT based links.
Installation of WAN and provisioning of wireless network between 21 Regional Sites and Central IFMS site of the Ministry of Finance, Accountant General’s Department via VSAT based links.
Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (Teachers’ Training Colleges), Tanzania awarded a contract for provisioning of Internet services to 32 colleges in the underserved regions using Satellite VSAT services.
2005
Complete overhaul of the outdated Local Area Networking (LAN) cabling and equipment in the main building of the Ministry of Finance, Accountant General’s Department, Tanzania.
2004
First upgrade to our Satellite VSAT platform gateway to GILAT Skystar 360E offering two-way communication system besides supporting wide-band broadcasting and multiple-address applications, DVB standards and extensive IP capabilities.
2003
Hardware Maintenance contract for IT infrastructure for all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) across Tanzania.
Seven regional branch offices of Exim Bank Tanzania Ltd: were connected to their Headquarters in Dar-es-Salaam via Satellite VSAT links.
2002
Launched the first, single-hop, C-Band Satellite VSAT platform gateway on GILAT Skystar Advantage to provide data connectivity anywhere, anytime across Tanzania especially in the underserved / off-grid areas.

Provisioning of data communication over satellite VSAT for Songo Songo Island (completely off-grid), India and Dar es Salaam during the initial construction stage of the gas pipeline executed by Larsen & Toubro.
Connecting (over VSAT) several remote up-country sites of Tanzania Posts Corporation and connecting (over wireless links) their branches and headquarters in Dar-es-Salaam.
2001
Incorporated in the year 2001 as Satcom Networks Africa Limited and duly licensed by the Tanzania Communication and Regulatory Authority (TCRA).
